Why recruit to the UK?

The UK has always offered a high quality of life.  The UK’s departure from the European Union (Brexit), the COVID pandemic, an aging population and increasing demands on industries has led to growing opportunities for overseas workers.

Just as an example of the scale of demand, the UK government has pledged to fulfil the need of 50,000 new nurses for the NHS by 2025.  The graph below illustrates how England is experienced and welcoming of overseas nurses, particularly from Asia:

In response, the UK government has made immigration easier than in previous years.  The new points-based visa system introduced in 2020 is more straightforward.  The Health and Care Worker Visa introduced in January 2021 means an easier route to this career in the UK.    For example, waiver of some clinical exams for overseas nurses and cost-free visa extensions for health and care workers.

The recruitment partners we seek must be officially registered with their relevant regulatory body and permitted to supply overseas workers.  In addition to employment laws, we expect our recruitment partners to adhere strictly to anti-bribery, anti-slavery, personal data protection and anti-money laundering laws of both the UK and their own source country.
